Traditional villages
Traditional mountain villages, each with its own unique character!
Our hotel is situated on a nodal site, where three different prefectures meet - Pieria, Larisa and Kozani. Small or large villages, some with year round residents, others vacation sites, adorn and give life to this area. Distinctive architectural characteristics, different view and special flavors are what seal the identity of every place according its course in time.
Our close area
The closest villages to us are Agios Dimitrios of Pieria (3 km) and Livadi of Elassona (9 km) - the largest village of the area: mountain village of approximately 3.000 residents with a long husbandry and dairy production tradition, but also prominent history. Here the views of the peaks of Olympus and the authentic pace of life take central stage. Close smaller villages of Pieria and Thessaly with equally easy road access set up a representative image of the greek countryside.
Vacation resorts
All greek villages fill with visitors during summer, but some of them initially arose or were reinhabited subsequently as holiday resorts. Whether they are inhabitants of the wider area, or entirely foreign visitors that fell in love with the land, their zeal to give prominence to the places that were going to welcome them during the most precious days of their year was clearly impressed. Signed paths, well groomed village squares and small churches with candles lit calm every visitor.
Abandoned settlements
Mountain landscapes haven't always constituted fertile ground for human activities and there have been occasions where the lay of the land became an obstacle. Old stone-built settlements - Morna, old Vrontou, old Skotina - that are now surrounded only by virgin nature, continue to proudly stand and offer an otherworldly but acutely captivating beauty.
