Local Culture Tour

Discover in just a few short hours every element that comprises the culture of the region of western Olympus!

In this exclusive tour you will be accompanied by a professional guide specializing in cultural themes, that has curated its every aspect.

• The first part of the activity entails a small, low difficulty hike of about 4 km, in a nearby village. Every stop of the hiking tour pertains to a different part of the area's history - antiquity, byzantine and contemporary - and covers parts of day-to-day life and material culture, always in full view of magnificent aspects of Olympus. 
   
• The second part takes place in another mountain village, that has contributed to the historical evolution and identity of the entire area. Husbandry and dairy production have constituted main components of its economy throughout the ages. At a local cooperative you will taste a selection of cheeses of Protected Designation of Origin, learn interesting details about their production process and compare them: they all comprise the gastronomic signature of the area!
